Vintage never looked so good as it does at City Opera Thrift Shop’s “V Is for Vintage” annual spring shopping event. The shop has collected a huge assortment of clothing from various designers over the decades, and is holding a three-hour preview sale tomorrow. Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Carolina Herrera are just a few of the designers whose clothes will be on sale. Hot items include an Hermes bag ($750) and a Fendi fur jacket ($650). Prices will range from $25-$250 for coats and dresses, $75-$500 for furs, and $25-$150 for jewelry. A $10 donation is requested at the door to support the New York City Opera. Shoppers can head down to the meatpacking district for a massive, 24-store collaboration featuring fall collections that haven’t hit stores yet. Designers will be making appearances during the collaborative trunk shows, in which shoppers can pre-order merchandise at stores including La Perla, Rubin Chapelle, Yigal Azrouel, and Catherine Malandrino. Shoppers can also browse current spring merchandise while sipping on Veuve Clicquot Rose champagne. Start off at Girlshop and get a list of all participating stores. With winter drawing to an end, Restore Spa offers a Springtime Scents & Sensibility Facial to rejuvenate dull winter skin. The 75-minute pampering session includes aromatherapy and a mask for troublesome pores. Normally $110, Restore Spa is offering the facial for $70 through the end of April.
