Travel complications forced teams, officials and members of the press to scramble for alternate routes to the Australian Grand Prix after regional airspace closures disrupted flights through major transit hubs such as Dubai and Doha.At least for now, F1 can focus on its new star. “A huge congratulations to Kimi,” Mr. Russell said. “It’s always special to win your first race. He’s been driving amazing this year and this weekend.”Meanwhile Mr. Hamilton’s third-place finish marked another milestone. It was the 203rd podium of his career and his first in the team’s iconic red after leaving Mercedes in 2024.
