VOLKSWAGEN LAUNCHES NEW MODEL FOR CHINA German automaker Volkswagen AG’s China unit launched its comeback model, the Sagitar, yesterday, saying it is confident it can arrest a decline in its market share by focusing on specific types of car buyers. The Sagitar, pronounced “saw-gee-tar,” is aimed at highly educated, fashionable buyers in their mid-thirties who want speed and excitement, said Weiming Soh, VW Group China’s executive president for sales and marketing.

COMPASS GROUP SELLING TRAVEL PROPERTIES British catering company Compass Group PLC said yesterday it is selling its airport and railway food concessions and other travel properties for 3.2 billion.The company has agreed to sell its travel catering business Select Service Partner to EQT, a Stockholm-based group of private equity funds.
