NEW IN HARLEM
After being closed the entire month of April, the Studio Museum in Harlem reopens with a new slate of spring exhibits. Newly on view: “Bill Traylor, William Edmondson, and the Modernist Impulse,” a large-scale exhibit focusing on two African-American folk artists; British artist Chris Ofili’s solo watercolor show; and “Harlem Postcards 2005,” the latest installment of an ongoing series featuring multiple artists’ perspectives on the neighborhood. Tonight through Sunday, July 3, Wednesday-Friday, noon-6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, noon-6 p.m., Studio Museum in Harlem, 144 W. 125th St., between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, 212-864-4500, $7 general, $3 seniors and students, free for members and children under 12.
