YOUNG AMERICANS Lise Sarfati’s photographs of seemingly lonely young people in Austin, Texas; Berkeley, Calif.; Portland, Ore., and New Orleans are on display in “The New Life (La Vie Nouvelle).” Through Saturday, November 26, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Yossi Milo Gallery, 525 W. 25th St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, 212-414-0370, free.


ARAB LENS “Nazar,” a photography exhibit closing this week, is named for the Arabic term for “seeing, insight, and reflection.” Work from 17 photographers delves into the cultural, political, social, and religious influences of North Africa, Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria, among other Arab countries.
