BUILDING BEAUTY The new exhibit “Archicule” presents the work of painters, sculptors, writers, and conceptual artists whose work addresses various aspects of architecture. Works on view tackle construction, small buildings, remodeling, furniture design, and landscaping. Artists include James Hyde, Sara Oppenheimer, Jimbo Blachly, Robert Kocik, Mike Ballou, and the exhibit’s curator, Peter Dudek. The exhibit’s name is taken from the word “architecture” and the Latin “cule” – meaning “small.” Reception: Tonight, 7-9 p.m. Exhibit: today through Wednesday, May 17, Thursday, 2-6 p.m., Friday, noon-4 p.m., Sunday, 2-4 p.m., the gallery at Makor, 35 W. 67th St., between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, 212-415-5500, free.
COLORFUL FUZZ The first exhibit at Latin Collector Gallery’s new space on 57th Street is a collection of work by Tony Bechara. The paintings recall pixels on computer screens and bad-reception television fuzz.
