The collapse of the Canada-United States trade negotiations is not only unfortunate in itself, it is a serious and very unnecessary mistake by the Trump administration. It has been one of the hallmarks and accomplishments of that administration that it has continuously corrected the errors of its predecessors and particularly the second Bush and Obama and Biden administrations in the strategic errors of impracticable overseas insertions of ground forces and by appeasing America’s enemies.
