IMAGINE JAPAN
Japan Society’s first arts gala, “Imajine,” honors Yoko Ono, Robert Wilson, and Takashi Murakami.The evening begins with cocktails and a preview of “Little Boy: The Arts of Japan’s Exploding Subculture,” curated by Mr. Murakami. Guests can also view the recently commissioned building-facade banner he designed. Yuka Honda,a member of the Japanese expatriate duo Cibo Matto, provides music during dinner at the nearby United Nations Delegates’ dining room. Tonight, 6 p.m., meet at Japan Society, 333 E. 47th St., between First and Second avenues, 212-715-1219, $500 and $1,000 general, $250 under 24 “Young Patrons.”
