Kazuo Ishiguro reads from “Never Let Me Go” (Knopf), a novel about three friends who once attended the same private school in rural England. As they rekindle their relationships, they begin to uncover some dark secrets about their childhoods. Mr. Ishiguro is also the author of “The Remains of the Day” (Knopf). LOVE IN TRANSLATION


Anouar Benmalek reads from his novel “The Lovers of Algeria” (Graywolf), translated from the French by Joanna Kilmartin. The book is about the relationship between a young Algerian boy who translates for an elderly Swiss woman as she searches for a lost love.
