FICTION FINALISTS Two finalists for the 2004 National Book Award in fiction, Christine Schutt and Kate Walbert,read from their nominated books. Ms. Schutt’s “Florida” (Triquarterly) is about a preteen girl shuttled among relatives, and Ms. Walbert’s novel-in-stories “Our Kind” (Scribner) is narrated in the first-person plural by a group of suburban women.
