LIBRARY COLLECTIONS
“A Rainbow Against Dark Clouds,” a collection of illustrated stories by Hans Christian Andersen, goes on display in celebration of his 200th birthday.The highlight is three paper figures cut by Andersen himself. ROARING GOOD TIME
Families can embark on a lion hunt at the Cloisters this weekend. The afternoon “Hear Me Roar” event focuses on images of lions in the medieval museum. Then, children ages 4 to 12 can make their own paper lions to take home. Saturday, 1 p.m., the Cloisters, Fort Tryon Park, 212-535-7710, free with admission, $15 general, $10 seniors, $7 students, free for members and children under 12.
