JEWISH DOWNTOWN The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy presents a family tour of downtown sites associated with Jewish history. The stroll ends with a stop at the Fraunces Tavern Museum for a presentation on George Washington’s connection to the Jewish community. Children can participate in a workshop on everyday items from the city in Colonial times, and kosher refreshments are served.The walk is intended for families with children 6 and above. Tomorrow, 11:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m., meet at the Fraunces Tavern Museum, 54 Pearl St. at Broad Street, 212-374-4100, $10 general in advance, $5 children in advance, $12 general at the door, $7 children at the door, reservations suggested.
PARK PARTY The Central Park Conservancy celebrates its 25th anniversary with “Be Part of Your Park” day. Activities include bulb planting, storytelling, face painting, guided walking tours, a scavenger hunt, and live music. Proceeds go to the New Orleans City Park, which was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., throughout Central Park, schedule can be picked up the day of the event at several locations, 212-310-6600, $1.
