COSTUME CENTRAL Families can take a gallery tour and then make their own Halloween costumes with guest artists. Supplies are provided by Materials for the Arts. FALL FOR CHELSEA The Chelsea Garden Center presents its annual fall festival with pony rides, clowns on stilts, facepainting, music, hayrides, food, and a petting zoo. Ten percent of the weekend’s total sales go to Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project. Saturday and Sunday, noon-4 p.m., Chelsea Garden Center, Tenth Avenue at 38th Street, 212-727-7100, free.
