NEW BOOK ON THE SHELF The publication of Alice Walker’s newest children’s book, “There Is a Flower at the Tip of My Nose Smelling Me” (Harper-Collins), is celebrated with an exhibition of illustrations by Stefano Vitale,as well as several workshops. HELMETS ON In celebration of National Safe Kids Week, the NYPD hosts a day of children’s bicycle safety, offering discussions on sign recognition and proper signaling, and inspections of tykes’ bikes.
