CARIBBEAN CARNIVAL The West Indian-American Day Carnival kicks off a fiveday celebration leading up to its Labor Day Parade, the largest of its kind in America. The celebration includes a “Ladies Night Out” (tonight, 8 p.m.), a Brassfest (tomorrow, 8 p.m.), a Children’s Day parade (Saturday, 10 a.m.), a Steelband Panorama competition (Saturday, 8 p.m.), Dimanche Gras (Sunday, 8 p.m.), and a carnival and parade (Monday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., begins at the corner of Rochester Avenue and Eastern Parkway). Thursday through Monday, times vary, Brooklyn Museum grounds, 200 Eastern Parkway at Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-467-1797, $20-$35 most events, parades free.
