ROSIE THE RIVETING Rosie Perez participates in a question-and-answer session following an evening screening of her 1989 film debut, “Do the Right Thing” (tonight, 7:30 p.m.; additional screening at 4:30 p.m.). The event is part of BAMcinematek’s “Born in Brooklyn: Rosie Perez,” a two-day tribute to the famously accented actress. Also screening: “The 24 Hour Woman,” in which Ms. Perez stars as a TV producer (tomorrow, 4:30 p.m., 6:50 p.m., 9:15 p.m.). ASIAN BLOCKBUSTERS The ImaginAsian Theater celebrates its first anniversary with the $5 Film Festival (“Big Screen Asian Madness!”). Highlights include the 1996 Japanese romance “Shall We Dance?” (tonight, 6:30 p.m.), Stephen Chow’s 2001 comedy “Shaolin Soccer” (tomorrow, 6:30 p.m.), and the 1997 fantasy “Princess Mononoke” made by anime expert Hayao Miyazaki (tomorrow, 8:30 p.m.).
