LAUDAS AND MORE The trio Trefoil is comprised of three modern minstrels who perform medieval works. The group performs songs from 14th-century Italy, featuring lutes, psaltery, and harps: The program explores the three elements of a traditional Christmas season: the Advent, the Nativity, and the Epiphany. DINNER AND AN ICE CAP As part of its Fêtes de Noël program, Bryant Park presents a Canadian-themed bar and café, Celsius, which offers full-service rinkside dining, including Québécois cocktails and comfort food such as macaroni and cheese and Swiss cheese fondue with apples and pears. A demonstration of his famous ice sculpting techniques given by a Le Cordon Bleu chef and master carver, Armando Baisas, is today at 1 p.m. Today, 11:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Bryant Park, 41 W. 40th St., between Fifth and Sixth avenues, 212-768-4242, free.

GREAT SOPRANO Carnegie Hall presents “Rejoice Greatly: Christmas with Renée Fleming,” a holiday concert given by the reigning American soprano with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Ms. Fleming performs selections including Handel’s Overture to “Saul” and Korngold’s Suite from “The Snowman.” Conductor Daniel Beckwith leads the orchestra. ACOUSTIC HIMALAYAN JAZZ The Rubin Museum of Art and the Jazz Museum in Harlem present “Harlem in the Himalayas,” a solo piano concert given by Uri Caine, who performs selections from his extensive jazz and classical repertoire. Friday, 7 p.m., Rubin Museum, 150 W. 17th St, between Sixth and Seventh avenues, 212-620-5000, $15–$20.

EIGHT DAYS “Light x Eight: the Hanukkah Project” features works by eight contemporary artists who explore the transformative qualities of light. Artists include Teresita Fernández, Spencer Finch, and Kirsten Hassenfeld.
