HAILING MOTHER HALE
Reverend Calvin Butts III leads a service celebrating what would have been the 100th birthday of “Mother” Hale, the founder of the Harlem nonprofit Hale House. A gospel choir performs and community leaders share their memories of Hale. Saturday, 1-3 p.m., Abyssinian Baptist Church, 132 W. 138th St., between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Malcolm X boulevards, 212-663-0700, free, reservations requested.
