SYMPHONY SOUNDS


The Juilliard Symphony performs in an affordable concert that features Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Introduction to Khovantchina,” Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp Minor, Op. 1,” and Shostakovich’s “Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, Op. 47.” Stefan Sanderling conducts. Tonight, 8 p.m., Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall, Columbus Avenue and 65th Street, 212-721-6500, $7-$15.


THEY ARE THE CHAMPIONS


The Loser’s Lounge performs loving tributes to a wide range of music, from the Kinks to Carol King. Up next is an evening of songs by the bombastic rock band Queen, fittingly titled “No Time for Losers.” Saturday, 8:30 p.m. doors open, Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey St. at Bowery, 212-533-2111, $17 in advance, $20 at the door.
