SONGS FROM ’62
The next installment of Broadway by the Year is an homage to songs from the 1962 season. Rachel York and Brad Oscar head the cast. Tonight, 8 p.m., Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues, 212-307-4100, $40 and $45.
GARDEN JAZZ
A jazz trio headed by Russian-born trumpeter and composer Valery Ponomarev performs tomorrow. The show is part of a weekly summer series of concerts held in the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum’s 18th-century landscaped garden. The series, which includes a wine and cheese reception, continues every Tuesday through the end of July. Tomorrow, 6-9 p.m., Mount Vernon Hotel Museum, 421 E. 61st St., between York and First avenues, 212-838-6878, $15 general, $7 children under 12, free for members and children under 4.
DOWNTOWN DELIGHTS

BROOKLYN BANDSHELL
Celebrate Brooklyn kicks off its slate of concerts and film screenings with a performance by rootsy singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones (Wednesday, 8 p.m.). Other highlights include a special performance by the Brooklyn Philharmonic (Saturday, July 16, 8 p.m.) and a screening of the 1932 classic “Tarzan the Ape Man” updated with a newly commissioned score performed by Mocean Worker (Sunday, August 7, 7 p.m.). GRAND OLD TIME
Various pianists perform on a nine-foot Steinway Grand Piano to honor Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, and Thelonious Monk as a part of the JVC Jazz Festival’s “Piano Masters Salute Piano Legends.” Wednesday, 8 p.m., Rose Theater, Broadway at 60th Street, 212-721-6500, $35-$65.
