HOLLIDAY’S LEGACY Female singers gather for “Billie & Me,” an evening celebrating Billie Holliday. Participants include Rita Coolidge, Joan Osborne, Dianne Reeves, and Rokia Traore. There are also readings accompanied by film and audio footage. Terri Lyne Carrington serves as musical director at the event, which chronicles Holliday’s stardom after her childhood around the brothels of Baltimore. LIGETI’S VIOLIN Violinist Jennifer Koh performs Gyorgy Ligeti’s Violin Concerto, with a new cadenza by John Zorn. She is accompanied by an ensemble from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
