FORWARD MOTION Jonathan Reid-Gealt’s new 16-song cycle “Forward” is performed by Broadway singers Adam Armstrong, Kate Baldwin, Whitney Bashor, Max von Essen, David Burnham, and others, under the direction of Michael Mosallum. Tonight, 7 p.m., Makor, 35 W. 67th St., between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, 212-415-5500, $15.


REMEMBERING ELVIS The new musical “Hunka Hunka Burning Love” celebrates Elvis Presley in honor of what would have been his 70th birthday. The cast – Andy Karl, Emily Drennan, and Tom LoSchiavo – will take the audience through three decades of the King’s musical catalog. The show is presented by the producer, Jack Lewin, and the director, Kurt Stamm, of the off-Broadway musical “Our Sinatra.” Monday through Sunday, February 5, Tuesday-Friday, 8 p.m., Saturday 2 and 8 p.m., Sunday 3 and 8 p.m., Au Bar, 41 E. 58th St., between Madison and Park avenues, 212-308-9455, $45-$55. Note: There are no performances on Thursdays, January 19 and 26.


NORWEGIAN NOTES The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra performs a program that includes piano concertos by Haydn and Mozart, with pianist Leif Ove Andsnes. The concert also includes Mozart’s “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”; Eivind Buene’s recent composition “Langsam und Schmachtend,” and Beethoven’s String Quartet in F Major, arranged by the orchestra’s artistic director, Terje T0nnesen. Wednesday, 8 p.m., Carnegie Hall, Isaac Stern Auditorium, 881 Seventh Ave. at 57th Street, 212-247-7800, $23-$79.


BACH IS BACK Organist David Shuler performs a recital titled “J.S. Bach and the French Connection.” Thursday, 8 p.m., Church of Saint Luke in the Fields, 487 Hudson St. at Grove Street, 212-414-9419, $20 general, $15 for students and senior citizens.
