EVENING CLASSICS Composer and pianist Bright Sheng returns to Flushing for an evening of classical music in “Bright Sheng & Friends.” The concert, presented by the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts, also features violinist Ida Kavafian, clarinetist Jon Manasse, and soprano Ilana Davidson. They perform compositions by Ms. Sheng, Franz Schubert, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Saturday, 8 p.m., Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd., at the corner of Linden Place and Northern Boulevard, 718-463-7700 ext. 222, $15 general, $12 members.


STILL LIFE IN CEMETERY The Green-Wood Historic Fund presents “Still Life With Microphone,” a “concert theater-work in progress” by violinist and experimental composer Todd Reynolds. The multimedia theater performance features compositions and improvisations for digitized, computer-processed violin, along with live video art and design by Luke DuBois, and film by Bill Morrison. Saturday, 8 p.m., Historic Green-Wood Cemetery Chapel, Fifth Avenue at 25th Street, Brooklyn, 718-788-7850, $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 members.
