MIHO’S SOUNDS The former vocalist for Cibo Matto, Miho Hatori, performs with her new ensemble. With percussionists Mauro Refosco and Gilmar Gomes, harpist Shelley Burgon, and keyboardist Thomas Bartlett,the group performs Ms. Hatori’s Brazilian- and Japanese-inspired avant-garde pop tunes. WHAT’S COOKING The Kitchen presents two concerts by the New York/Australian quartet Clogs, whose original compositions are defined by avantgarde improvisation. The group features Padma Newsome, the group’s primary composer, on strings and voice; Rachael Elliott on bassoon; Thomas Kozumplik on percussion and drums, and Bryce Dessner on classical and electric guitar. The ensemble will be joined by guitarist and composer Shara Worden on Friday and indie-folk singer Diane Cluck on Saturday.
