HE’S THE MANN The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents “String Quartets with Robert Mann,” an evening of quartet music led by the violinist and founder of the Juilliard String Quartet. Featured performers include violinists of the Mendelssohn String Quartet, David Fulmer and Nicholas Mann. Selections include Mr. Mann’s “Suspended” and “Violent,” and Mozart’s Quintet in G minor, K. 516. WINDY CITY ORCHESTRA As part of its Great American Orchestra series, Carnegie Hall presents the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, which performs Ravel’s “Valses nobles et sentimentales” and Bartók’s “The Miraculous Mandarin.” The conductor of the orchestra is Pierre Boulez, and pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard is a featured performer.
