POETRY IN MOTION Conductor Lawrence D. “Butch” Morris turns the voices of 18 poets into musical instruments as part of his performance “A Chorus of Poets.” The improvisational composition uses the human voice to show how technology affects popular culture. Money raised goes toward the publication of the next issue of Tribes magazine. Tonight, 9 p.m., the Nuyorican Poets’ Cafe, 236 E. 3rd St., between avenues C and B, 212-674-3778, $10.
