FICTION FANS
Writer and cultural critic Wayne Koestenbaum reads from his fiction at a reading series devoted to works in progress. Joining him is writer Natasha Radojcic, and Andrew Lewis Conn, whose first novel, “P” (Soft Skull), was on the 2003 best books lists of Salon and the Village Voice. Tonight, 7:30 p.m., Junno’s, 64 Downing St., between Bedford and Varick streets, 212-627-7995, free.
LOUSY LITERATURE
The “Bad Books Reading Series” gives the worst literary products just what they don’t deserve: a second life on stage. The next installment includes dramatizations from Rosie O’Donnell’s free-verse blog read by poet Edgar Oliver, an excerpt from a memoir by “Mrs. Herman Munster” read by writer Frank DeCaro, and a scene from Eve Ensler’s panned play “The Good Body” read by “celebrity psychic” Julia Wonder. Tonight, 9 p.m., Elmo Lounge, 156 Seventh Ave., between 19th and 20th streets, 212-337-8000, $5.
