LET IT SNOW (PLEASE!) An exhibit at the New York Academy of Sciences provides a refreshing look at all things snowy. “One of a Kind: In Homage to ‘Snowflake’ Bentley” celebrates the work of Wilson Bentley, a Vermont farmer who spent a lifetime studying snow crystals. Bentley (1865-1931) was the first to photograph a single snowflake. The show features Bentley’s own work and that of other artists who have focused on the flakes and flurries of winter. Clockwise from above: Daniele Imperiali-Warner’s untitled work from 2005, Bentley’s “Snowflake” (year unknown), and Steve Savage’s “Wow” (2005). Through Wednesday, August 31, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, New York Academy of Sciences, 2 E. 63rd St., between Madison and Fifth avenues, 212-838-0230, free.
