YIDDISH AVENUE Cezar Del Valle conducts a walking tour of the “Yiddish Rialto,” Second Avenue in Manhattan. The road was once an epicenter of Yiddish American culture, home to movie theaters and vaudeville theaters.The stroll proceeds past sites associated with figures including Maurice Schwartz, Molly Picon, Henry Miller, and President James Monroe. This is the last walking tour in the fall season presented by the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment. Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., meet in front of the Sunshine Cinema, 143 E. Houston St., between Eldridge and Forsyth streets, 718-788-8500 ext. 208, $11 general, $9 members, $8 seniors and students.
