MANHATTAN MANSION A guided tour of the Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan’s oldest house, focuses on a former lady of the house, Eliza Jumel. Born in poverty as Betsey Bowen in 1775, the ambitious Rhode Island native married and divorced Vice President Aaron Burr after her first husband died. She inspired romance novels, radio shows, and a Broadway musical. Saturday, noon-1 p.m., Morris-Jumel Mansion, 65 Jumel Terrace, between 160th and 162nd streets, 212-923-8008, $5 general, $3.50 seniors, students, and members, reservations recommended.


INSIDE THE UNITED NATIONS The United Nations celebrates its 60th anniversary by offering rare half-hour guided tours of its headquarters this month. Sundays through June 26, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., United Nations, enter at First Avenue and 46th Street, 212-933-8687, free. Note: Children under 5 are not permitted.


DOWN MEMORY LANE Joyce Gold History Tours takes nostalgic New Yorkers to the Forward Building, the Tenement Museum, and other neighborhood sites as part of its program World of Our Fathers: The Old Jewish Lower East Side. Sunday, 1 p.m., meet at Straus Square, Essex and Canal streets, 212-242-5762, $12.
