ISTANBUL, Turkey — Istanbul’s governor says 13 people have been killed in a “terror attack” on a residential neighborhood at the city.
Governor Muammer Guler says some 70 people were also injured by two explosions today at the working class Gungoren neighborhood.
A witness said the two explosions were about 10 minutes apart. Many people were injured in the second after they rushed to the area to help people following the first blast.
An Associated Press reporter at the scene saw at least 12 people lying on the ground. Broken glass and debris was strewn all over the area.
