Mayor Bloomberg is speaking to World Bank employees in Washington on Thursday about New York’s urban transformation. The president of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, will introduce him to the staff.

A news release from the World Bank, announcing his address, says that with half of the world’s population living in cities, urbanization is a defining phenomenon of this century.

Mr. Bloomberg’s talk is titled: “Building Better Cities: New York’s Experience in Urban Transformation.”
