After enraging city drivers last month by defending parking enforcement amid snowy conditions, Mayor Bloomberg is playing it cautious ahead of more expected snow. The city is preemptively suspending alternate-side parking rules today, even though the forecast is for less than one inch of snow accumulation.

Last month, the city enforced parking rules in the snow, then canceled tickets that were issued after drivers complained that it was impossible to move their cars. Parking meters will remain in effect throughout the city today.
