An off-duty New York City police officer has been found dead in a park, and police suspect he shot himself with his own gun.

New York City police aren’t releasing the officer’s name. His body was found at about 8 a.m. today in Poppenhusen Park in the College Point section of Queens.

Police suspect the officer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Further details weren’t immediately available.
