Two Murdered in Bronx and Staten Island

Police are investigating two separate murders that occurred early yesterday morning.

The body of a Bronx man, Georgie Lopez, was found by police at 3:30 a.m. in the Soundview section of the Bronx after sustaining gun shot to the chest, police said. Witnesses led police to Jacobi Hospital where a suspect, David Leak, was being treated for a laceration to his right hand, police said. Mr. Leak was arrested and charged with murder, police said.

Another man was found dead by police at 4:01 a.m. in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island at a nightspot, Club Buena Vida, after he was stabbed in the chest and arm, police said.
