Pilates exercises are known to lengthen and slim the body – which will make it much easier to wear this season’s pencil skirts. If you’ve been meaning to try a class, this is the month to get moving. Re:AB Pilates is offering $10 introductory classes (regularly $24) that will give you the basic information to get through an initial session, which have been discounted to $50 (from $75-$90) for September.
Later this month, the studio will also celebrate a day of family health and fitness by offering Duet Day. New and current clients are invited to bring a family member or friend to class for a total price of $50.
The re:AB studio was founded in 1997 by Brooke Siler, who trained with a protege of Joseph Pilates. It offers a variety of classes from mat to super stretch mat, mat-for-men, and much more.
Registration is required prior to classes. Re:AB is located at 33 Bleecker St. at Mott Street, 212-420-9111. For class schedules, visit www.reABnyc.com.
