The Upper West Side just got a little more connected: Lincoln Center will offer free wireless Internet access throughout its 6.3 acres of outdoor space beginning in June, the president of Lincoln Center, Reynold Levy, announced yesterday. The organization signed an agreement with the wireless carrier Nokia.
“One of the goals of Lincoln Center’s multi-year redevelopment projects is to encourage those who visit our campus to come earlier and linger longer, both before and after performances,” Mr. Levy said in a press release.
Sites on the center’s grounds where visitors can surf the Internet include the Josie Robertson Plaza, located on Columbus Avenue, between 62nd and 65th streets; Damrosch Park on the Lincoln Center Plaza at 62nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, and the North Plaza at 65th Street and Broadway.
