SENSE AND SENSIBILITY A group show of sound works explores the phenomenon of synesthesia, in which experiences in one sense prompt other senses to react – for example, when a smell produces visualizations of a color. “What Sound Does a Color Make?” which closes this weekend, asks how synesthesia is connected to contemporary audiovisual art. Represented artists include Stephen Vitiello, Thom Kubli, and Kurt Hentschlanger. Through Saturday, noon-6 p.m., Eyebeam, 540 W. 21st St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, 212-937-6581, free.
