WINTER WONDERS An auction of winter-themed posters features Art Nouveau posters, Dartmouth Winter Carnival images spanning from 1937 to 1958, and more than 100 ski posters. It also features Louis Rhead’s vintage “Sun” advertisement at left (est. $3,000 to $4,000). Other highlights: Sascha Maurer’s charming 1930s posters for Flexible Flyer (est. $1,200-$3,000), Roy Lichtenstein’s advertisement for the 1967 Aspen Winter Jazz Festival ($1,500-$2,000), a selection of seven 1950s posters for Vietnam ($700-$1,000 each), and a collection of more than 50 Judaic and Israeli posters on politics, entertainment, and travel.
