MERRY MARDI GRAS The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans presents “Heart and Soul,”a Mardi Gras celebration that benefits the rebuilding of New Orleans. The benefit cocktail party’s proceeds go to the organization’s homeowner assistance and neighborhood recovery fund. Grace and Sandy Kaynor and Susan and Jeff Moore serve as chairmen of the event. Doug Brinkley, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Nancy Lemann, Julia Reed, and Bryan Batt are honorary chairmen. Tonight, 7-9:30 p.m., Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Ave. at 103rd Street, 914-235-1490 ext. 17, $250-$5,000 general, $125 under age 35.
