‘PLAGUE’ PROGRAM Daniel Barenblatt reads from his book “A Plague Upon Humanity: The Hidden History of Japan’s Biological Warfare Program” (HarperCollins), in which he investigates how thousands of Chinese people were held captive and infected with strains of anthrax, plague, cholera, and other epidemic and viral diseases in the name of developing Japan’s germ warfare program.
