FAMILY LAUGHS


The National Comedy Theatre, which opened in February, throws itself an official kickoff party this weekend. The troupe offers familyfriendly comedy staged as a competition: Teams are punished for bad puns and rewarded for the biggest laughs. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 and 10 p.m., parties follow each show, National Comedy Theatre, 347 W. 36th St., between Eighth and Ninth avenues, 212-629-5202, $15 general, $12 seniors, students, and military.


OBSESSION


Sara Schaefer welcomes comedian Jessi Klein and singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke to the next installment of her faux talk show “Sara Schaefer Is Obsessed With You.” Friday, 8 p.m., Juvie Hall Sketch Comedy Theatre, 24 Bond St., between Bowery and Lafayette Street, 212-868-4444, $8.
