PUMPKIN PEOPLE Families can spend an afternoon in a pumpkin patch designing jack-o-lanterns and masks. Children can also join in a costume parade and enjoy a scavenger hunt. Costumes are not required – but they are encouraged. Saturday, 2-4 p.m., Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Fifth Avenue at 91st Street, 212-849-8380, $30 children, free for accompanying adults.
