CELEBRATING EARTH The country’s biggest Earth Fair celebration takes place as part of the Green Apple Music Arts Festival. Highlights include performances by the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. PRETZEL PALS A soft pretzel slathered with mustard is a summertime classic during baseball season. Children can learn how to make their own, along with other baseball park foods, as part of Staten Island’s ongoing Art of the Game program. PLANET EARTH The Wildlife Conservation Society celebrates Earth Day at the Bronx, Queens,and Prospect Park zoos; New York Aquarium, and Central Park. Visitors to any location will have a chance to see all kinds of creatures, enjoy entertainment and crafts, and learn from demonstrations and lectures. The organization will collect used cell phones for recycling at each facility. The Central Park celebration includes a performance of Arm-of-the-Sea Theater’s “City That Drinks the Mountain Sky.” Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., various locations.
