BUNUEL IN MEXICO “Traveling Cinema” screens the first of three films made by Luis Bunuel while in Mexico. “Los Olvidados” (1950) is a surreal look at life in the slums of Mexico City. Tonight, 7 p.m., Barbes, 376 9th St. at Sixth Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn, 718-965-9177, free.


PSYCHED FOR ‘STAR WARS’ Moviegoers who arrive in costume at tonight’s screening for “Star Wars: Episode IV” (1977) – in other words, the first “Star Wars” – receive priority seating. The theater’s resident dance squad provide a silly opening act.The screening is in anticipation of the release of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” which opens Thursday. Tonight, 9:30 p.m, Ars Nova Theater, 511 W. 54th St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, 212-977-1700, free.
