EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED An exhibit features 100 medieval and Renaissance illuminated manuscripts. “The Splendor of the Word” includes Bibles, prayer books, atlases, psalters, scientific texts, and romances, all drawn from the New York Public Library’s collection of Western European manuscripts. Through February 12, 2006, Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, 1-5 p.m., New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, 212-869-8089, free.
