TUCSON TUNES The Tucson band Calexico performs a free show as part of the series Music at Castle Clinton, sponsored by the Downtown Alliance. Tonight, 5 p.m. tickets distributed, 7 p.m. concert, Castle Clinton, National Monument in Battery Park, free.


CROSS-CONTINENTAL HIP-HOP The sole pop event at this year’s Lincoln Center Festival, “Africa <-> America,” is a celebration of the links between the two continents’ hip-hop music scenes. Wyclef Jean performs and serves as host to a program that includes the Senegalese hip-hop group Daara J and the Paris-based DJ Neasso. Tonight, 8 p.m., Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall, 65th Street and Broadway, 212-721-6500, $25 and $45.


SON OF THE SEAPORT The South Street Seaport Music Festival features a performance by the countrified rock band Son Volt, headed by former Uncle Tupelo member Jay Farrar. FOLK FIESTA Currituck Co. and Diane Cluck play avant-garde folk after the styles of Devendra Banhart and Animal Collective. They’ll perform in Williamsburg as part of the Make Music Now series. The Sculpture Center commissioned the music, which is inspired by their current exhibit, “Make It Now: New Sculpture in New York.” The duo of Aki Onda and Alan Licht play later in the series (Friday, July 22). VITAL ORGAN The organist at the oratory of St. Philip Neri/St. Boniface Church in Brooklyn, Christopher Hatcher, performs as part of the weekly Sunday Organ series. Sunday, 4:30 p.m., Cathedral of St. Patrick, Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st streets, free.


LIVE AT THE CEMETERY The indie-rock bands the Last Town Chorus, Belacqua, and Dawn Landes mix country music and ’80s pop at an outdoor installment of the Live at the Lyceum music series. Saturday, 8 p.m., Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th St. at Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-768-7300, $12 general, $10 advance.
