SEPHARDIC SOUNDS The New York Sephardic Music Festival welcomes the Sara Aroeste Band, which fuses Latino folk music with contemporary sounds (8 p.m.); Pharaoh’s Daughter, which blends Jewish spiritual music with world beat sounds (9 p.m.), and Smadar, a six-piece group composed of musicians from Turkey, France, Bulgaria, and Israel performing music in Spanish, Greek, Arabic, and Hebrew (10 p.m.). STRING PROGRAM The New York String Orchestra, conducted by violinist Jaime Laredo, performs a program of Bach, Barber, and Beethoven. The featured violinist is Hilary Hahn. Tomorrow, 8 p.m., Carnegie Hall, Isaac Stern Auditorium, 881 Seventh Ave. at 57th Street, 212-247-7800, $17-$47.
MEDIEVAL MELODIES The duo Asteria, consisting of soprano Sylvia Rhyne and lute player and tenor Eric Redlinger, performs late-medieval vocal and instrumental music. Friday, 1 and 3 p.m., the Cloisters, Fort Tryon Park, 212-650-2290, free with museum admission, $15 general, $10 seniors, $7 students, free for children under 12.
