BIG GOVERNMENT The nonprofit think tank Demos presents authors Seymour Lachman and Rob Polner, who read from their book “Three Men in a Room: The Inside Story of Power, Corruption, and Betrayal in an American Statehouse” (The New Press). CHEKOV FOR LOVERS Symphony Space presents “Chekov’s Sexiest Tales,” a dramatic reading of a selection of the Russian playwright’s work, who is considered by some to be the originator of the short story.
