POPULAR CONFLICT A professor of social sciences at Columbia University, Charles Tilly, and a professor of sociology at Cornell University, Sidney Tarrow, discuss their joint effort “Contentious Politics” (Paradigm), which sets out guidelines for studying contention within various political realms, such as religious or ethnic conflict. A NOVEL APPROACH Fordham Law School’s Forum on Law, Culture, and Society presents a reading and discussion by Scott Turow, a novelist and practicing lawyer.
